What is a Skill
You know how a good electrician has a toolbox? Inside it, tools he knows perfectly. He knows which one to pick for which job without thinking about it.
A skill is a toolbox for Claude.
When Claude gets a request from you, sometimes it needs specialised instructions. If you want a Word document, Claude has a skill for that. It knows exactly how to make professional documents. If you want a PowerPoint presentation, different skill. If you want a biblical text analysis in Hebrew, different skill again.
You do not need to know which skills Claude has. You do not activate them manually. You do not configure anything. Claude knows what it needs for what you ask. Like the electrician reaching for the right pliers without a second thought.
But here is what matters. Skills make the difference between a generic answer and a professional one. Without a skill, Claude does its best from general knowledge. With a skill, Claude does what is needed. The right way. At the right standard.
On Claude Accord, we build specialised skills for real domains. Bible study. Article writing. Document construction. Each skill has been tested and refined until it works properly. When you work with Claude through this platform, these skills work for you. In the background. Without you lifting a finger.
The tools are in the box. Claude knows which one to pick.
